After a bit of consideration, I decided to register for Ali Edwards’ One Little Word class again this year. I chose for ‘balance’ to be my word for 2013. I usually set myself a couple of goals at the beginning of a new year. Not really resolutions, more like directions of where I would like to end up or what I would like to accomplish by the end of the year. This layout marks the start of 2013 for me.

I mostly used papers from BasicGrey’s Fiction collection for this layout. The warm colors of the floral background work really well with a black-and-white picture. The shipping tag hides the journaling behind the picture.

These Fact & Fiction journaling cards are just awesome. I absolutely adore the ledger one with the tab. The butterfly is one of the many chipboard elements for this collection. Of course I also had to use some masking tapes.

I just keep coming back to these two types of Thickers. I might need to stock up on them. The tiny orange letter stickers are also from BasicGrey’s Fact & Fiction collections.
