Since yesterday fall seems to have arrived here in my neck of the woods. It’s cold, rainy, lots of wind, and so also dark early in the evening. Perfect weather for some crafting. And that’s exactly what I’m up to later this evening. For now, here’s one of the layouts I’ve made with BasicGrey’s Paper Cottage collection.

Nora is about 1.5 yrs old on these pictures, exploring her new colorful Ikea chairs. On those pictures she’s about the same age as Tuur is now. I can’t believe how much they look alike, yet how different they are.

One of the things I absolutely adore in this collection are the Flags. There are a huge amount of small and smaller flags in the package in different colors. They’re just the perfect touch of color here and there on a page or card.

This page is again very simple and easy. No matter how hard I try, I always end up with something simple. I would love to learn to make a layout with a lot of layers and embellishments, that doesn’t feel overcrowded, some day – lol.

I distressed the edges of the pieces of patterned paper with some brown ink. That way they stand out better against the rather busy background paper.

Els.

Supplies:

Patterned PapersBrunch, Porch Swing, & Backgammon; Stickers: Title Stickers, Alphabet Stickers, Chipboard Shapes;  Misc.: Flags, Stitched Brads.
